Description 960003 Manning Wardle L Class Sir Berkeley As currently preserved at Middleton Railway History The class were built over a 45 year period between 1881 and 1926 by Manning, Wardle & Co. of Leeds. The class was supplied to various civil engineering contracting firms in the UK. The later versions of this locomotive were built with an enclosed cab.
