Description Lapis lazuli, carnelian and freshwater pearl necklace with handmade clasp in 9ct gold. Strung on nylon-coated stainless steel wire. This necklace was shown as ‘Valley Sunset’ in my recent exhibition, and is now for sale. Part of my collection comparing the natural inspiration with the finished piece of jewellery. Here it was the last light in the valley, with airport lights on the high ground. The gold veined blue of lapis, with carnelian and pearl picking out the highlights. Just a hint of sparkle before the light fades away completely.
